| A large and imposing mansion, Amesbury Abbey has been a private nursing home for thirty years. It is on an historic site and set in parkland, distingquished by the variety and size of trees. The Wiltshire Avon flows through the grounds which is annually stocked and adds its own special charm to the scene. There is however nothing remote about the Abbey. The busy little town of Amesbury is within walking distance, and is well served by a post office, banks, a public library, churches and a variety of shops. The Nursing Home itself has many facilities which enable it to offer a hotel style of gracious living for its residents coupled with 24 hour nursing care. The Abbey mews flats are mostly two bedroomed, all with sunny aspects. The supporting services available, for which a quarterly sum is payable, includes full maintenance, central heating (from mid Setember to mid May), lunch in the Mews own dining room, domestic help and a warden service. A trained night nurse is available in an emergency.
